Niykee keeps writing music despite having been caught up in the latest crisis. Her selection was made for her participation in YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and Snoop was on stage with her. A producer magnet Niykee has a constant eye on the numerous beats sent to her. She finds that most are a source of new song ideas. It's easy to tell when a beat's great after five seconds, and I'll get a song in my mind and begin writing right away she tells. While I'm at my front porch, playing guitar, my lyrics simply come out and can be written in fewer than thirty minutes. Niykee keeps working on her abilities as a poet and lyrics writer. She explains how the trauma she endured through the years can be a source of unique motivation. It's tough to forget memories that are painful from my childhood, and especially the loss of my sister. These memories are incorporated in her music. The music I write is shaped by it and I am able to see the bigger picture beneath everything. This is one of the things that is most significant to me.
