Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding is a British artist and singer. The singer was born Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December 1986, in Hereford. Ellie Goulding rose quickly to the top of her game with her electronic pop sound after capturing the attention of people through her hit songs "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses" in 2010. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. With her distinctive soprano voice and knack for writing captivating, yet emotional music, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap is at the top of the current mainstream and arty, independent-minded pop.Goulding was soon moving from blogs to print media, garnering the attention of mainstream magazines like The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. Polydor Records, a major music label, chose to sign Goulding and was making plans to release her debut album.
